Unbelievable that we listen to this nonsense. I’m not saying I disagree with the hypocrisy of federal regulations vs. state, but… seriously? You don’t have any other topic to discuss other than marijuana legalization? (I don’t know about this “CNS news source” either but when I saw this….ugh, puke). This guy…Check out this embarrassment representing my home state….
Now before you stop reading this post, step back and take a look at the facts and then understand my position: I am a married mom to four beautiful children, I pay taxes, we have a high deductible health plan, I do not drink, we eat right and exercise, my kids rock their grades so hard, I’ve never been to jail and I function every single day – with the help of marijuana. (Remember, I have bipolar disorder – medically it is essential in some ways…) So please do not assume that I’m touting marijuana because I’m a lazy, pothead pushing it on you. Do us both a favor and check out this study…
Go ahead, I’ll wait.
My summary of said study:
→During the eight and a half years of data supplied, 17 FDA-Approved drugs were labeled as primary suspects of death in 10,008 deaths, and 1,679 deaths in which the drugs are considered secondary suspects in death (meaning ‘may have contributed to’).
→In the same time frame, marijuana had 0 deaths as the primary suspect of death, and 279 deaths in which marijuana was considered a secondary suspect in death.
Now, I’m no math whiz but…
It is my firm belief that marijuana is considerably safer than alcohol, cigarettes and various medications that are all FDA-approved (and remain legal).
I’ve told my teenage daughter that I’d rather her smoke a joint at a party than pick up a glass of alcohol. Controversial? No, it’s just science. I will continue to educate my children so they are able to make informed choices about societal topics. It was unconstitutional to take the hemp away from the people of these great United States to begin with. Decriminalize, regulate and legalize.
Just. Fuckin. Sayin.

Did you happen to catch the #Pot2Blame debate with ‘Nancy Grace on HLN’? No? She is a case. Uneducated, ignorant and unfairly biased hysterics spoutin’ from this one. I share because, you know, I care.
